what is a microsite?
A microsite is also known as a minisite or weblet. They are used as an off-shoot of the main parent website to showcase something specific - to give more information than a site’s general content, to add more in-depth information about a particular product or service.
It can be either temporary (like a competition) or permanently available. The choice is yours depending on its purpose.
examples of use
• promoting a temporary offer, film release, single release, competition
• promoting an event, specific service or product, project work or new holiday offer
Please find some examples of microsites below. To view an enlarged view of each thumbnail - click on the images.
